Should taxpayers ask for AEI’s (Administrators Effective Indices)?
Submitted by byepola on Tue, 04/21/2009 - 22:19.
My question is what are the AEI’s (Administrators Effective Indices) exclusively because of an $84 million dollar underperformance? If the district allows an ineffective superintendent to run one of the largest school district in the state of Texas, then taxpayers should view a report of ALL DISD AEI’s. These administrators’ should not be extended a six figure salary ever, but should be punished severely!

OF course they should. Saw
OF course they should.
Saw some sarcasm in these comments, who side are you on, all of you guys?
The Kids!!
And there should be honor and justice, but it ain't happening in east Dallas.
The school district can abuse anyone they want and they are untouchable.
The End!
Does chocolate milk come from brown cows?
Sound reflects off glass. Tree roots leave nice tunnels under large areas. There are way more conspiracy tactics than can be imagined, some not so far off point. Does it really matter though, time still passes.
Ok so they are being paid well....Sell your soul
I have noticed serious lack of ability, so maybe the Dallas Achieves "CHANGE THE PEOPLE OR CHANGE THE PEOPLE" rant that Dr. H laid out in April 2007 has an agenda other than educating the children. Oh sure if they can segregate the children by academic ability and have a high testing cluster, they can pretend to care for more Federal Funds. What about the "drop outs" who are better and more appropriately known as FORCED OUT? What about all the money spent defending the grade-changing "highly professional" "veteran teachers" who are beyond burned out and they have years of experience falsifying records, transcripts and logs, and have no regard for the 10 Commandments.
The real perk in the DISD is you drive the top of the line Lexus. Purple helicopters are for the agents/administrators who need to document the actions of the wise, so to destroy all evidence. That is why, ed., you never see the paper trail!
Everybody's doing it....

AEI's...How about ASEI's
AEI's...how about AEIS's (Area Superintendent Effectiveness Indices) I have long thought the Area Sup's are a hugh part of the problem. Look at the history of some of the schools that are AU. Bad principals are allowed to get away with too much. Parents complain, nothing done. I went thru the Resolution procedure and after 3 yrs. Castro still hasn't put anything in writing...as per policy. Mitchell, Isosome-Newsome, Michaeux, Williams, another joker getting paid to look the other way. Again as teachers are blamed for what happens. Maybe they should be looked at as well as the history of their schools. At least they quit moving Area Sup's around. Hill has had 4 Area Sup's in 5 yrs. Same for other schools. How can they get to know 20 - 40 schools and then change the next year. You're right ...they can't and often don't. Especially if you're one of the Area Sup. going back to school on DISD time. Long time no see at the Board Mtgs.
Teachers Who Don't Assess Test don't have CEI's "It Is Unfair
One very important point that should be brought to teachers’ attention is that some teachers who don't have TAKS, ACP, etc. should be included in this process.
Example: Choir, Band, JROTC, Home Economics, Physical Education teachers and so on don't have the stress as Math, Reading, Social Studies, Science teachers. Those teachers make the same money as teachers who are completely stressed out. This is documentation that for the insurmountable law suits that will be on-going for the 2009-2010 school year.
All are created equal. Many have had ENOUGH!!!
EVERY TEACHER should be held accountable!!!
BAND DiRECTORS DO HAVE CEI
BAND DiRECTORS DO HAVE CEI THEY ARE CALLED UIL AND NON UIL SCORES, YOU DONT SCORE GOOD YOU LOSE YOUR JOB JUST LIKE A CORE CLASSROOM TEACHER!!!!!!!!
Band CEIs
Band Director are synical - I overheard a conversation where the judges of a UIL event skewed the bands scores at a school so they would have 1st divisions so that the band would be at the top of the administrators list of important programs. Sounds like the current CEIs.
This is what the Federal Government wants.
This in fighting... pitting teacher against teacher. It's what the Dept. of Education wants. They made districts dependent on their federal money for survival. Now that it's gone.. you see the extent of their power that we allowed them to have over us.
The Dallas ISD teacher's are not the only ones that are losing jobs. This is happening in other states as well. Take Florida for example. It's a controlled demolition of the US economy....teacher's aren't the only one's getting hit... but why?
Well... when the average.. over-educated.. underpaid US Citizen riots... The Government will bring in the troops.. but not our troops.. because our troops are all overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting a protracted war on "terrorism". So the UN troops will have to come in. This is where we will lose our sovereign constitution based government ... and replace it with a totalitarian police state.
Citizens will be marked with color codes next to their names ... some will go to FEMA concentration camps on suspicion of being a terrorist i.e. anyone not following the rules, or simply lying to officials, or wearing white shoes.
This is Zbigniew Brzezinski's grand chess board he's been talking about.
The end game is Global Domination and they do this through the monetary system.
That's why the government is bailing out the banks and will not let them fail while the average citizen get's nothing and is burdened with overwhelming debt.
Taxpayers need to know the evil and waste the Admini-mind staff
Lets get real. Millions are spent for legal contractors who are nothing but vicious beast robot named Savage Android e. They are not doing the job and the drop out rates are increasing. But with the good legal representation of Bracewell/Guiliani they get it all nice and tidy for the Due Process. In DISD cheaters prosper in every way and the kids are always the loser.
What are they all hiding? If they understood the art of education, rather than the art of deception and malice, the problems would all be fixed!
After all "what is wrong with hiding under the table," as my kid's teacher said under oath!
TEA needed at DISD
DISD will always remain crooked until TEA steps in and takes over. It is going to take some very very brave and vocal parents to stand up to this political machine. DISD is not in the business of education...it has become a political machine. Maybe it always was and it's just more obvious now because the powers that be think they are invincible.
I have worked for this district 27 years. I have been offered teaching positions at Hockaday, St. Marks, and several other private schools. Yet I stay, because I am dedicated to the education of urban children. I LOVE what I do and where I work.
The neighborhood I work in doesn't rival the neighborhoods of North Dallas. I won't get a room mother to help me with my classroom, I won't have state of the art equipment paid for by exorbitant tuition. I won't be teaching the children of lawyers, doctors, or other of Dallas' elite population.
I work in a school that is old, run down, contaminated with black mold, and surrounded by drug houses, drug dealers, gang members, prostitution, and crack addicts and this is not South Dallas but Oak Cliff.
On days I choose to stay late, I take my own life into my hands because anything can happen. We have had teachers car jacked in the parking lot in BROAD DAYLIGHT. We have had teachers robbed going to their cars - IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, cars broken into, etc. etc. etc.
Still I stay and commit my life to these precious young minds I see everyday.
The reward for working for loyalty to DISD? They begin with a RIF in the fall that drops teacher morale to an all time low. They target teachers who are at the top of the pay scale because it is cheaper to hire an inexperienced teacher
It not important if that cheaper teacher can truly teach or not...they just want a cheaper body in the classroom...if they tell you differently- they are LYING!
Now DISD will use a single and unfair measure of student success and attach it to a teachers CEI's and fire those who do not show growth in their students; students who speak very little English, come from families where mom or dad may be a crack addict, drug dealer, or the prostitute or simply don't care whether their child can do ANY academics.
Where is the reality check?
Add to this a superintendent who allowed money to be mismanaged on his watch, he hires his friends and they all get raises doing so????
If this is nothing more than a political machine then what else would you call it.
Will I return next year? Yes...as I said I truly love what I do and my "real" customers - my students.
To the administrators who think I make too much money and want to push out of the classroom a dedicated, seasoned teacher, here is my question:
For the cost of my salary, you can get maybe 1.5 teachers.
For those administrators who make $100,000 and more, how many teachers can we hire if we shut down your job?
Private School Pay
It is common knowledge that private schools pay a fraction of what urban districts pay.
Further, it is no secret that one may lose creditable years of experience upon transferring from a current teaching position. Twenty-seven years would drop to one.
What is touted here as "loyalty to DISD" and "[dedication] to the education of urban children" is more likely self-interest. I am persuaded that this contributor stays in Dallas for the money and for the opportunity to serve a parent base that exacts far less of educators than the parents of North Dallas.
District decision makers are probably guilty of nothing more than what this contributor exhibits: a love of self, and a desire to mask that self-interest as something noble.
Standing one's ground near mold, drughouses, and prostitutes would be great if it weren't for higher pay.
Who should actually lose their job?
I think that it is insane that there are highly qualified teachers that have lost their jobs due to the RIF. I think that it is equally insane that over 600 teachers in DISD received letters that they will not be offered a new contract all because of some stupid test grades. I, for one, am not on a growth plan, and have received at least proficient on all of my evaluations for all of the years that I've been with the district. Yet, because I teach a TAKS grade, and I changed grade levels at the beginning of the '07-'08 school year, for the first time I have been bumped down to tier 1. Automatically, without question, I am given only a warning that I must improve by this time next year, or face losing my job. CEI's are completely wrong, and as far as I can tell, illegal. Test scores are not a true measure of a teacher's ability or apptitude. I could see if I had been put on some kind of a growth plan, and had been warned previously. I have friends that are teachers in other districts throughout the state of Texas, and they have all told me that their districts do not have CEI's. Apparently, DISD is the only district in Texas who has CEI's. Who is getting paid to analyze all this "test data"? Who is getting paid to sift through all the information to decide the fate of all these teachers? There is no accounting for level of difficulty from year to year, yet students are supposed to show growth every year on the TAKS. Nevermind the difficulties they, the students, may be facing.
Why not get rid of the TAKS? Why not get rid of CEI's? Why not get rid of the ignorant sap whose job it is to lump all teachers that are in "Tier 1" into one group to throw away?
There's no rhyme or reason to any of it.
It's not insane
It's not insane. Highly qualified teachers with years of service, while still underpaid, are significantly more expensive than their younger peers.
It's not insane when you think of it in terms of the new world order agenda.
In a totalitarian police state.. you don't want them smart... you want them obedient.
Why do you think discipline is stressed first before teaching them. Educating the kids is the afterthought and is evident by the obsolete curriculum.
The government is paying you to discipline them and you are supposed to do this cheaply.
[Ed Note: ...and if you're good at it, eventually they let you fly the black... uh purple helicopters :) ]
Well.. a government job does sound good at the moment.
From a more mainstream newsource @ CNN http://loudobbs.tv.cnn.com/
Purple Helicopters do Exist.
Notice how difficult they are to spot. Outrageous as it sounds, purple has an obvious tactical advantage in the sky.

Point is: My doom and gloom predictions are coming true and ya'll think I'm a kook?
I am hoping I am wrong.. but we have to plan for this just in case there is rioting and looting in the streets.
Teacher's are losing jobs but it's not due to administrative issues... those are the effect. The cause of all this is something much larger and effects everyone in this country; not just Texas and Dallas.
[Ed Note: Yeah, but those purple helicopters are what the black helicopter pilots use to go sightseeing in Punta Cana :) ]
Well it was our honeymoon and since I was the only one that could fly the thing, my boss didn't mind even though it was government property. Go ahead and complain about misuse of government funds. Do you think you can do a better job of flying the thing? Quit whining, go get a pilot's license and apply for the job.
I think you are on to something Ron

Check this one out!! They plan to take over the government.
Hey Rudy, they talk about the GM using the robots, and look what has happened to them!
The State Legislature is hearing about the evil Bracewell & Giuliani perpetrates on our society. SB1490, to be specific, passed the Senate and is now being considered in the House, to take the responsibility of Due Process away from TEA, because of the corruption apparent with the TEA, and is perpetrated all over the State. The only testiment against it is from the creep from Rudy's Monster stable. They want to keep the cash cow. They pay outrageous kickbacks to the administration and evidently the hearing officers, for the ability to charge excessive rates to be paid by the taxpayer, all so they do not have to educate kids correctly!
The best way to destroy the society is to ruin the children. DISD is good at that!
Go Figure! So if that thing is not a savage android, then why is she named I.Savage Andrade? The only difference is the space between the o and i. Take that out and it is an a. o+i=a
http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2008/05/why-android... Like this one... The reality hits hard.
Money can buy anything, and we know the DISD has plenty to spend on things that are not directly educational. Laws are made to be broken, right? So the school district is just doing what they are intended to do, break the laws, and they have the vicious legal robot to defend the lies and evil.
Ron you are not a kook. But it is so far ingrained in the school district, that it is invisible to the "educated" eye.
It's not a conspiracy.. it's the system.
We never had a real president after JFK.... and he was shot... every president afterwards has been a puppet. If you want to fix the whole thing.. get rid of the current economic system and fractional reserve banking. The way it's setup now... it doesn't matter what board member is in power because there will always be someone with a similar agenda to take their place. The names change but the motivation doesn't.
GM and FORD aren't doing to well even though the tech is more advanced.. the computers in the car are proprietary and your average mechanic can't fix it even though there's nothing physically wrong the car just something electronically wrong with the computer.
Monsanto is suing the family farm because their seed is patented never mind that Monsanto was negligent in allowing their seeds to contaminate the family farmer's land when the grain truck passes by.
And they do this to keep their market share... but no one is buying.
Money is truly the root of all evil. So, stop using it.
